CMA CGM christens 9,415-TEU ship

   France's CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container shipping line, today is holding a christening ceremony for its 9,415-TEU vessel "CMA CGM Medea" at the Terminal de France, Port 2000, in Le Havre.
   The vessel was built by South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries and measures 349 meters (1,145 feet) long, 43 meters (141 feet) wide and can reach speeds of 24 knots.
   The "CMA CGM Medea" is deployed on CMA CGM's joint weekly Asia/Europe service with China Shipping, French Asia Line 2/AEX 7. The service calls Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Chiwan, Malta, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Southampton, Malta, Khor Fakkan, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
