Performance Issues

As always, we are constantly working on ways to improve the download speed of our pages, without affecting the quality or usefulness of those pages.

What have we done to help performance?Our Internet Service Provider is a Tier 1 ISP. What this means to you is you'll get the quickest response for generated screens from our Web Server and the quickest transmission times across the Internet, worldwide.

Some of our pages though, can be quite large depending on the inputs selected, approaching 1 Mb for the data intensive ComPair Schedules screen. We have tuned the performance of our largest screens so that the minimum data needed to display the screen is all that is sent to your browser.

What can you do to help performance?

If your ISP supports connections faster than your current modem can handle, we highly recommend that you upgrade your system to take advantage of this.  In any case, your ISP and your connection speed to the Internet will be the determining factors in how fast our pages load.  We suggest you speak with a representative of your ISP if your page load times in general are slow.
