Port Pair Evaluation Tool version 2

WHAT'S NEW:

1. Now the tables can be updated by the click of a button.

2. The Port Pair Evaluation Excel file can be exported from the application.

3. The carrier can be selected -- no longer a fixed part of the application -- also has a setting for none.

4. The query date and carrier are included on the reports.

SET UP INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Put the folder named "PPEv2" anywhere on your computer (ie. desktop, C: drive, etc.)

2. Move the folder named "ComPairExtracts" directly on your C: drive. The full path should read
   C:\ComPairExtracts
NOTE: Be sure not to confuse the folder with the short cut. The folder does not have an arrow on it. If you already have a folder named ComPairExtracts on you C: drive, you may delete the folder in the PPEv2 folder.

3. Move the ComPairExtracts short cut in an easy to locate area of your computer. Short cuts are commonly placed on the desktop of the computers.

OTHER NOTES:

Do not delete or alter the PortPairEval Excel file if you want to keep the format that exist. In order to save a copy of that report without deleting the format, close the Excel file and copy it and then paste it in a new/same loction. It is suggested that you rename the report to avoid confusion (simply by adding the date to the end of the file name would be suffice). A back up copy of the PortPairEval Excel file has been included.

REFRESHING (UPDATING) THE TABLES:

Updating the tables will take about 2 to 3 minutes; this could take longer depending on your computer and your network.

It is recommended that you update your tables atleast the month after every quarter for the most up-to-date data from ComPair data.

MENU TIPS:

On any of the selection drop-down boxes (ie. carrier selection, trade lane selection, etc.) you can begin to type the name of the item and the application will attempt to auto complete for you.

Also, can type the first letter of the item and Hold the "Alt" key on your keyboard and press the down arrow on your keyboard and the list will open at that point of the list (example: if "n" is typed and Alt + down arrow -- this will open the list at North America to ... in the Trade Lane menu).

On the By Port report menu -- if you click in the drop-down box, you can use your mouse wheel to scroll through the records (backwards or forward).

On the By Country report menu -- it is not required to click anywhere to use the mouse wheel to scroll through the records.
